14 DAY TRIAL // Cupertino-based Apple is expected to make official in a matter of weeks new iPhone flavors, namely the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S, and it seems that they might be released via more wireless carriers in the United States than originally believed.
While most of the latest speculation on the upcoming availability of the new iPhone models in the US included only Sprint as a possible new carrier for the handset, it appears that more operators might actually start selling the new devices.
Cincinnati Bell is one of them, and the carrier has already listed the iconic device on its website for a brief period of time, reports emerged.
Some of those who accessed the website at that time came up with screenshots of an iPhone 5 32GB model listed at the carrier, and of an iPhone 4S 16B flavor. The iPhone 5 model was listed with a price tag of $639.99 (around 470 Euros) attached to it, while the iPhone 4S is priced at $99 (around 72 Euros). We assume that at least the latter will be available on contract at the said price tag.
Some of the specifications of these devices also leaked via the said listing, including the 8-megapixel photo snapper on iPhone 5's back, or the 4-inch screen it should sport on the front. The handset is also said to arrive on shelves with 4G capabilities.
As for the iPhone 4S model, it was listed at Cincinnati Bell with a 3.5-inch touchscreen, a 5-megapixel photo snapper, and an A5 application processor inside.
Apple was initially expected to launch a single iPhone model this year, yet it seems that some of the latest rumors regarding the availability of two different models might actually pan out.
In the United States, wireless carriers like AT&T and Verizon are almost certain to receive the new device flavors, and it seems that others will follow suit.
Nothing has been officially confirmed on the matter for the time being, but it should not be too long before things become official, so stay tuned.
