iPhone 5 component leaks brought into the spotlight by Apple-centric blogs are painting a picture of what the iPhone 5 may look like.

In total, three components have been leaked to a rumor blog - the back camera, the battery, and the audio flex cable.

According to the photos published by MacRumors, the alleged iPhone 5 back camera module squashes rumors of a separate LED flash.

Although the sensor, lens and flash array do appear different, the flash is still on board the whole camera module.

It is believed it can do 8-megapixels, whether it’s from Apple’s usual supplier - OmniVision - or Sony - recently rumored to have been contracted by Apple to make up for what OmniVision cannot.

Next up, the battery Apple is supposedly using in the next-generation iPhone 5 is almost identical to the one found in the iPhone 4.

Labeled DVT — Device Verification Testing — the battery pack shows 3.7V and 5.3Whr while the iPhone 4 part used for comparison shows 3.7V and 5.25Whr. The phase that follows is ‘EVT’ — Engineering Verification Testing — leading us to believe the iPhone 5 may be in production already, DVT went well.

The iPhone 5 part also has what MacRumors deems as a “plausible” identification number when compared to current-generation hardware, as well as a rotated connector.

However, the most important aspect of the battery pack is the fact that it’s identical in shape and size to the ones used in the iPhone 4.

This may well indicate that Apple is not changing the design of the iPhone too much with the introduction of the fifth variant this year.

This would come as a shock to the Apple fanbase, but not to some analysts who still believe this year’s upgrade will not be as “revolutionary” as some believe.

Finally, a new part listed by iPhone parts supplier TVC Mall as “Audio Jack Flex cable”  looks very different from the existing parts used in the GSM and CDMA iPhone 4.

Contacted to provide his expert opinion on the part numbers and other markings, iFixit's Kyle Wiens said these were “reasonable,” and that he believed they were consistent with the cable currently used by iPhone 4 part suppliers.
