Apple has just announced plans to bring to the market a new flavor of their popular iPhone device, namely the iPhone 4S, and carriers are already flocking to add it to their offering.

We already learned that the new mobile phone will arrive on shelves in the United States via three major wireless carriers in the country, namely AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, but there are more operators planning its release.

Among them, we can count O2 and Three in the UK, both of which already went official with plans to add the new device to their offerings.

“We’re really excited about iPhone 4S and pleased to say it'll be on sale on O2 from 14 October. More info coming soon,” O2 announced via Twitter.

Three UK, on the other hand, posted info on the upcoming release on its website, though they did not offer specific details on the pricing of the new device.

“We're excited about the recent Apple announcement and can confirm we'll be ranging iPhone 4S. All our latest news and updates will be posted here – so watch this space,” the carrier notes on its website.

“Because we're the only network that has all-you-can-eat data available on all our plans and we're also the UK's biggest 3G network, you really can get the best out of your new iPhone on Three.

“And the great thing about all-you-can-eat data is you don't need to understand a gigabyte or a megabyte or even worry about how much it's costing, you can just use your iPhone and apps as much as you want.”

One thing that should be noted here is that the UK is only one of the countries that will be receiving the new iPhone 4S before the end of October, in addition to the United States.

Apple announced that there will be 22 markets set to get a taste of their new iPhone model this month, and that more will follow afterwards.

The 22 are: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

The new device comes with global connectivity and with price tags that start at $199 (around 150 Eruos) in the US for the 16GB model.
