Apple's newly released iPhone 4 is rumored to be on its way to making an appearance on the market in Spain on July 28. The news comes from local wireless carrier Movistar, which tweeted info on its plans for the launch of the device, but which says that the actual launch date depends on the supply chain. The company does plan on having the Apple handset available for its users before the end of the ongoing month, in case all things go according to plan.

However, no specific info on the price tag the iPhone 4 would have at the carrier was unveiled for the time being, though all the necessary details should emerge in the near future, in case the iPhone 4 would indeed arrive at Movistar on July 28. One thing that is certain is that it does not come as a surprise if Spain sees iPhone 4 available in July. Moreover, it seems that Vodafone and Orange are also expected to announce plans on the matter; at least this is what a recent post on actualidadiphone notes.

When announcing the release of the new device, Apple did say that it should become available for purchase in a number of 18 countries by the end of July, and Spain was among them. The list also included Australia, Austria, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, China, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden and Switzerland. However, the company, or specific carriers, still has to unveil specific details on the matter.

In the meantime, we should mention that July is also the time frame when the white version of iPhone 4 would be released on the market. Apple delayed the launch of this model last month, but it did say that the handset would arrive before July is over: “White models of Apple’s new iPhone 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected,” the company said in a press release in late June.
