A convenient tool to purchase Apple products using your iPad

Apple has just launched a redesigned shopping app for iPad owners, touting the ability to “explore beautiful, high resolution image galleries, discover the latest products and accessories, and check out with a few taps.”

Designed just for the iPad, the new Apple Store app lets you shop at the Apple Online Store wherever you may find yourself.

But before your tap that green buy button, you can check out trending products (because nothing beats buying whatever everyone else is having, regardless of your modest needs).

Another thing you can do is share and review products, as well as navigate freely using touch gestures.

The rest of the features are common between the iPhone and iPad installments, such as the ability to buy your product in the app and then go pick it up at the closest Apple Store, or the ability to find an Apple Retail Store near you and view its visiting hours, directions, product availability, and stuff like that.

You can also use it to make Genius Bar reservations, sign up for workshops and events, and chalk up any venues you like as favorites.

“An app designed just for iPad that lets you shop the Apple Online Store like never before. Explore beautiful, high resolution image galleries, discover the latest products and accessories, and check out with a few taps,” Apple says.

Compatible only with iOS 7, Apple Store for iPad will only work with iPad second-generation, iPad third-generation (aka “the new iPad” or the first one to get a Retina display), iPad fourth-generation, iPad mini, iPad Air, or iPad mini with Retina Display.

All the devices enumerated above are supported natively, meaning the experience will not differ from model to model (except maybe for some eyesight problems on your behalf).
