Apple has already set up iPad webpages for four Nordic countries as it prepares to release the tablet computer in these territories either this month, or in December.

Reports indicate that Apple is not far from launching its “magical” slate-shaped device in four new territories rather soon, with the company setting up the necessary web-pages to promote the functionality of the device, as well as the look and feel of the tablet.

Nordic territories set to receive shipments of the tablet computer include Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland reports 9to5mac.com, although the list of countries set to start carrying the iOS device may not be limited to these four.

“Starting at just $499, iPad lets users browse the web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more,” Apple states in the original press release announcing U.S availability in Spring.

It adds that “iPad is just 0.5 inches thick and weighs just 1.5 pounds—thinner and lighter than any laptop or netbook—and delivers battery life of up to 10 hours,” pointing out via asterisk that battery life depends on device settings, usage and other factors.

The device is known to make good on Apple’s battery life claims, sometimes even exceeding the 10 hours advertised by the company, so long as the tasks carried out on the device do not push its CPU too much.

“iPad’s revolutionary Multi-Touch interface makes surfing the web an entirely new experience, dramatically more interactive and intimate than on a computer,” the company’s marketing text reads on.

“You can read and send email on iPad’s large screen and almost full-size ‘soft’ keyboard or import photos from a Mac, PC or digital camera, see them organized as albums, and enjoy and share them using iPad’s elegant slideshows.”

“iPad makes it easy to watch movies, TV shows and YouTube, all in HD, or flip through the pages of an ebook you downloaded from Apple’s new iBookstore while listening to your music collection,” goes a rough description of the key benefits posed by the iPad.
