14 DAY TRIAL // Developer MEA Mobile has announced the iPad 2 version of its motion video filter app, iSupr8. The release coincides with the upcoming Cambridge International Super 8 Film Festival kicking off today.
iSupr8 differs from other photography apps as it filters videos with a professional Super 8mm film treatment.
After giving the app a go, Phil Lilley of Aarchive Film Productions said, “I have seen, literally, millions of feet of 8mm film in my life time, iSupr8 have made digital emulation look so authentic, from the scratches, to the light effects...it's the closest thing I have seen that looks like film from a digital format.”
Through Snapr, iSupr8 has map based geo tagging for video upload and sharing.
iSupr8 features advanced Super 8 Filters, offers the ability to export video and edit with Final Cut Pro X, or iMovie, and the ability to share on Facebook or send via Email.
The app is also AirPlay-enabled, which means you can stream your works directly to your Apple TV.

Users download the same iSupr8 app which works on both iPhone and iPad. Right now it’s still discounted - $0.99 - even though MEA Mobile said the introductory price was on for just 24 hours.
iSupr8 also requires iOS 4.1 as the minimum firmware version supported.
