Apple’s latest iOS release was downloaded and installed by 32% of all iDevice owners worldwide in the first two days since release, according to findings dished out by ad network Chitika.
The firm says iOS 6 was able to achieve a 30% adoption rate in three days, whereas iOS 7 managed to go even higher than that (32% adoption rate) in just 48 hours.
Chitika also points out that Google’s Jelly Bean release from July 2012 is currently installed on 45% of Android devices, a figure iOS 7 will crush relatively soon (if it hasn’t done so already), according to the ad firm.
My guess is that the 45% adoption rate would have been achieved in mere hours after the iOS 7 rollout, had Apple’s servers been capable of handling the workload.
