Apple TV users are reporting issues with the 6.0 Software Update released by Apple last week, and the Cupertino giant has seemingly pulled the update (for some TV models) to prevent bricking.

Reports say the Apple TV 6.0 Software Update packs some bugs that are capable of bricking some set-top boxes. Some users actually discovered this the hard way, according to iMore.

As a result of this, Apple reportedly pulled the update, causing some devices to list version 5.3 as the latest software available.

The Cupertino giant has not issued any notice regarding the move, while the “Apple TV Software Updates” page continues to list version 6.0 as the latest update available.

The new release delivers iTunes Radio, iTunes Music Store access for browsing, purchasing, and playing music directly from the digital distribution venue, iCloud Photos, iCloud AirPlay support, Podcast syncing, subtitle enhancements, a Conference Room Display update, and more.
