As rumored yesterday, Apple is now offering iOS 4.3 Beta 3 and iOS 4.3 SDK Beta 3 to those enrolled with its developer programs. The downloads are freely available from the company’s Developer website.

Apple developers who pay the yearly $99 fee to get to play around with the latest betas are happy to report that Apple has launched the third beta of iOS 4.3 via its developer channel, corroborating a January 1st report indicating that Apple would do just that by the end of the day.

Alongside the iOS 4.3 Beta 3 IPSW, labeled build 8F5166b, Cupertino also rolled out Xcode and iOS SDK 4.3 Beta 3, carrying a build number of 10M2514.

Xcode and iOS SDK 4.3 Beta 3 is a pre0release version of the iOS SDK as part of the complete Xcode developer toolset targeting not only iOS developers, but Mac programmers as well.

Coders are urged to review the release notes and readme before proceeding with the installation of the developer toolset.

As for the iOS 4.3 Beta 3 itself, five separate IPSW files have been made available for download. Currently, the new iOS supports iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4th generation, and iPod touch 3rd generation.

Few changes have been discovered in this beta so far, with AppAdvice reporting that iOS 4.3 will allow customers to cancel App Store downloads right from their device.

9 to 5 Mac chimes in to report a bug that has been present in iOS 4.3 betas for a while now. Apple has failed to address it, therefore the site believes it is important to get the word out.

Apparently, those who update their applications through the App Store update tool are prone to getting their folders messed up, should they hit cancel when prompted to type in their password.

The bug is labeled as critical and should be fixed by Apple in the final version of iOS 4.3.
