Xiaomi’s new MiPad might be one of the most worthy Android tablets that ever arrived on the market. The tablet offers advanced specifications and sells for a super affordable price that will slash away at the competition.

But that doesn’t mean that other Chinese companies aren’t taking cues from Xiaomi. Take iFive, for example. They have just launched a new slate that will surely compete head-to-head with China’s iPad mini.

The iFive Mini 4 might be just another attempt at replicating the iPad mini, thus coming with a 7.9-inch screen offering 2048 x 1536 Retina-like pixel resolution, reports GizChina.

Instead of the powerful NVIDIA Tegra K1 chip found in the Xioami MiPad, the Mini 4 takes advantage of a 1.8GHz quad-core RK3288 Rockchip processor fitted with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (while the MiPad goes as far as 128GB).

The slate will be available for purchase for $177 / €132, which is a little less than the Xiaomi MiPad which sells for – $242 / €180.

It would be interesting to see if iFive manages to offer models bundled with 3G or LTE and at what price they end up marketing them.

Surely, the iFive Mini 4 doesn’t come with a Tegra K1 inside, but that’s the reason is sells for less.
