Abit claims that its new speakers are the world's first truly digital speakers for the PC market. Abit iDome is a high quality solution made up of two compact speakers and a separate sub-woofer with built-in digital amplifiers that are meant to provide crystal clear sounds. Abit is proud to inform that the sub-woofer does not feature an analogue pre-amplifier for the DSP amplification stages; the audio system is using Abit's ?Guru? technology that includes a separate microprocessor, digital control and allows for low signal distortion.

Compared to the conventional speakers that only support 24bit/96Khz, Abit's sound system boasts an incredible 24bit/192Khz sampling frequencies in order to achieve an unparalleled sound reproduction quality. iDome includes 6 different DSP settings: Normal Mode, Game Mode, Music Mode, Movie Mode, Rock Mode and Jazz Mode.

iDome's backpanel supports S/PDIF and analog connections, as well as other external audio sources. Abit informs that iDome sports a Medium Density Fiber cabinet in conjunction with a pure cotton weave in order to efficiently prevent unwanted resonance and sound distortion.

In addition, the sub-woofer offers Deep Bass eXhaust technology, taking full advantage of the bottom opening of the enclosure. Inside the sub-woofer, the air will always move to equalize pressure levels. The 6.5" drive acts like a spring to keep itself in the right position, enabling a more profound bass sound reproduction.

The two speakers provide together 50W RMS, an input impedance of 4 ohm, 2 x 1" and 2 x 4" drives and an 86dB @1Khz input SNR. And the sub-woofer delivers 50W RMS, 4 ohm, a 6.5" drive and 98dB @100Hz input SNR.
