14 DAY TRIAL // Barchart.com, a provider of market data and information, has announced a “data feed” relationship with Technical Trading Solutions Ltd., the company behind iChartist for iPad.
The iPad-exclusive application iChartist is developed by experts in technical analysis software.
It is a fully featured charting and technical analysis application for active traders and investors and it is designed to provide the power and flexibility of a high-end desktop application.
A wide selection of the most popular technical indicators (including Average Directional Index, Average True Range; Bollinger Bands, and Chaikin Money Flow) and drawing tools can be accessed via iChartist, allowing traders to actively monitor intraday charts in real-time, as well as perform advanced technical analysis.
Now that Technical Trading Solutions and Barchart have teamed up, users of iChartist for iPad can subscribe to the latter’s real-time data feeds.
These are sourced directly from futures and equity exchanges. The app offers direct integration, so users can select Barchart as their main data source.
"iChartist users are now able to receive real-time equity, index, forex and futures data from Barchart, directly on their iPad," said Eero Pikat, president of Barchart.

Recently updated to version 1.2, iChartist adds a new indicator - Compared Security - ; auto save indicator settings; improved saving of trend lines and indicators; and improved stability.
iChartist currently supports realtime data for numerous high-profile exchanges, including: NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX, OTCBB; Forex from MorningStar/Tenfore; S&P and Dow Jones Indices; CME; CBOT; CFE; COMEX; DME; KCBT; MGEX; ICE Canada / WCE; ICE Europe; ICE USA (NYBOT); NYMEX; NYSE LIFFE Metals.
iChartist is compatible only with the Apple iPad (both first and second-generation models) and requires iOS 4.0 or later.
