Indian market is flooded with Android smartphones and tablets. The latest entrance on the market is iBall's Andi 5c handset.

The smartphone is currently available at leading retailers across the country for a suggested retail price of Rs 12,599 (225 USD or 180 EUR) outright.

Design-wise, the Andi 5c ‘features packed in a stylish gizmo,’ claims iBall. The device is part of a larger Andi series of smartphones that's been available in India for quite some time now.

As expected, the latest device in the series, Andi 5c is also the better handset when it comes to performance. It's also quite the looker, especially if we take into consideration that this is aimed at budget-friendly market.

The Andi 5c comes with a large 5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display and packs a 5-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording.

It is also worth mentioning that the phone's camera provides various options for users such as multi-shot and panorama, allowing for a wide area of space to be captured. Moreover, the Andi 5c sports a secondary VGA front-facing camera for 3G video calling.

iBall's Andi 5c is powered by Google's Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box, accompanied by other useful features such as face unlock, data control manager, gallery app with photo editor, red-eye remover, redefined notification panel and multitasking.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone is equipped with a 1 GHz single-core processor, though iBall has yet to announce the amount of memory. Hopefully, the Andi 5c will come with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Last but not least, Andi 5c features built-in GPS, 3G with HSUPA 5.76Mbps, HSDPA 7.2Mbps. The phone drains energy from a 2300 mAh Li-Ion battery, which promises to offer users ample time for talking and gaming.
