The News and Announcements section for Apple developers is featuring a bunch of new updates for those enrolled with the developer programs that allow them to code using Apple’s own development tools and feature their titles in the company’s App Stores.

Developers are being informed that iAds, the rich media ads introduced by Apple last year, are now being served to iPad users in the United States, “redefining mobile advertising with rich, immersive ads that take full advantage of the stunning 9.7 inch LED-backlit display.”

Trying to entice coders who haven’t yet joined the iAd Network, Apple claims that “Many developers with apps just like yours are already making thousands of dollars per week serving iAd rich media ads.”

“Make the most of this growing opportunity now. Learn how you can join the iAd mobile advertising network and generate more revenue with iAd,” the company adds.

In a separate announcement, Apple informs that its Mac App Store has just joined the ‘Affiliate Program,’ a move that facilitates generating higher revenue for apps.

“The addition of the Mac App Store to our Affiliate Program provides a new way for you to generate revenue,” reads the Mac maker’s announcement.

“When you join the program, you can create affiliate links to apps on the Mac App Store and receive a commission on all qualifying sales.”

Those who join will also be able to receive commissions on sales from the iTunes Store and App Store, as long as these sales stem from affiliate links attributed to them.

Finally, Apple is also eager to tell those enrolled with its $99-a-year program that iTunes Connect has a Resolution Center which they can use to view details of any issues during app review.

“You can now view details about any issues found during the review of your app from the new Resolution Center in iTunes Connect.”

“If your app has been reviewed and needs further refining before it can be approved for the App Store, you will receive an email with a link to the iTunes Connect Resolution Center,” Apple explains.

In the eventuality that their app doesn’t meet Apple’s stringent requirements, developers will get explanatory screenshots, links to information on how to resolve their errors, and more.

Contacting the App Review Team is possible from within the Resolution module while all communications are visible to the developer, admin, and the various members of a developer’s crew.
