Chinese handset maker Huawei announced a press event on February 21 at MWC 2016 trade fair where the company is supposed to unveil its “newest smartphone.”

Even though Huawei hasn't yet teased anything about its upcoming device, we expect to see the new P9 being revealed at the end of the week.

Previous rumors about Huawei P9 are a bit controversial, which makes the device even more interesting specs-wise. The only graphical representation of the P9 leaked several weeks ago in the form of a schematic.

Today, Chinese blog MyDrivers leaked the first press renders of the alleged Huawei P9, which is likely to be available in four color versions: gold, pink, silver and white. The leaked pictures suggest that the P9 will feature a full metal body and a 2.5 curved screen.

There's a better chance for the P9 to come with 4GB RAM rather than 6GB

Unfortunately, no additional details on specs have been revealed along with these images, so we'll have to rely on previous rumors that claim Huawei P9 will be world's first smartphone to pack 6GB of RAM inside.

Aside from that, we're also expecting the P9 to come equipped with a powerful Kirin 950 processor and 32GB of RAM, hopefully, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Although the rumor mill says the smartphone should pack 6GB RAM, we believe there's a higher chance the P9 will in fact come with just 4GB inside, which isn't bad at all.

Another piece of information confirmed by these images is the fact that Huawei P9 will feature a dual-camera setup on the back, along with dual-tone flash. Sadly, we don't have any other details regarding the cameras on the Huawei P9.

Last but not least, Huawei P9 is rumored to sport a 5.2-inch display, but there's no mention of the maximum resolution supported for the moment.
