A few days ago, we brought you some news related to the upcoming Nexus smartphones which are bound to make a debut during an event scheduled for September 29. Even if Google hasn’t confirmed it so far, it’s pretty clear by now that there will be two Nexus models launched by the search giant this year.

According to the info, one of these smartphones will be produced by LG and will probably be called the Nexus 5X, while the other one will be manufactured by Huawei and will bear the Nexus 6P name.

Well, as we approach the big launch date, we get even more information about the two upcoming Nexus phones. For example, a report coming out of Android Police claims that the Huawei Nexus will be the first Nexus smartphone to feature an option with 128GB of storage. That means that Google will be selling the phone with 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of built-in storage. Unfortunately, for the time being, we don’t really know how much any of these variants will end up costing.

If we’re to look towards the past to find answers, last year Nexus 6 users had to pay an extra $50 / €44 to jump from the 32GB option to the 64GB model.

No expandable storage for the Huawei Nexus?

Anyway, given the information at hand, it would be sensible to assume that the Nexus 6P won’t come with a microSD card slot on board, as some of us might have hoped for. As for the Nexus 5X, it seems that this model will be the budget-friendly option between the two new Nexus devices, set to be offered in 16GB and 32GB storage options.

Going back to the Nexus 6P, the general consensus is that the phone will make it out with a 5.7-inch display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution and a Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood. The handset should also bundle 3GB of RAM and a 13MP/8MP camera combo (hopefully the real deal will bring something better to the table).

Both devices will be announced with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board, so stay tuned to see them make an official debut in a few days.
