Huawei Mate 9 is one of the most powerful phablets out there, with quite advanced specs and a stunning design. The device impresses with its 5.9-inch full HD display and Leica dual-camera setup on the back.

Huawei has recently teased an image taken with the Leica camera on the back of the Mate 9/Mate 9 Pro, according to GizmoChina. The smartphone was used to take pictures of seven cities from around the world on New Year’s Eve, including Paris, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and London, which were then put together in a panoramic image, as seen below.

The picture shows how all these cities from around the world light up on New Year’s Eve, but it doesn’t include any fireworks or visual effects in the sky. It just shows how all seven locations are lit up in anticipation of the New Year.

Huawei Mate 9 comes with a dual-camera setup on the back

Huawei announced the Mate 9 back in December last year and the phone is already available on Amazon in the US. It goes for $799 for the variant with 64GB of storage and $899 for the model with 128GB of internal memory. The smartphone will be officially released in the US on January 6, and hopefully at least one carrier in the country will pick it up.

The Mate 9 comes with an impressive dual-camera setup with Leica lenses on the back: a 20MP monochrome lens and a 12MP color sensor. It also has multiple other camera features like 2x zoom, Laser Focus, OIS, and dual LED flash.

The front camera capacity reaches 8MP with f/1.9 aperture. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, with EMUI 5.0 on top. It has a 5.9-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and a fingerprint sensor on the back. Moreover, the phone runs a Kirin 955 chipset, has 4GB of RAM, and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.
