Microsoft seems to be really enjoying making fun of Apple and its products in ads for the Surface Pro 4 or the Surface Book, and now another company is joining Redmond’s party with similar videos.

Huawei has just published a video on YouTube where it’s making fun of the iPad Pro and its limited capabilities with the MateBook, putting the emphasis on its top features that are missing from Apple’s device.

Of course, Windows 10 is also put in a good light in this ad and Huawei explains that its MateBook can run full apps, just like the Surface Pro 4, while the iPad Pro is powered by iOS and can basically run the same apps as iPhones and iPads.

Huawei MateBook specs

Truth be told, the Huawei MateBook is really a powerful device that offers good value for the money. It’s powered by an Intel Core m3-6Y30 900 MHz with Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.20 GHz and features 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage.

The device comes with a 12-inch full HD IPS display and runs Windows 10 Home with Intel HD Graphics 515 GPU. It also includes 1 USB Type-C port, a 5-megapixel camera, and a 4430 mAh battery which, according to the producer, offers up to 9 hours of autonomy.

A detachable keyboard is also available separately in case you want to turn it into a device that’s more focused on productivity, and the MatePen stylus provides functionality similar to the Surface Pen, letting you draw and write on its screen naturally.

As far as the price is concerned, the Huawei MateBook is not the most affordable device, but it’s not super expensive either, as the aforementioned configuration can be yours in the United States for $699.

Microsoft can’t be anything but pleased to see Huawei joining its anti-Apple party, and expect more companies to release similar ads in the coming weeks.
