HTC is known to be working on its upcoming flagship smartphone, one that will feature premium specs and an interesting tool that allows users to simply squeeze their phones and get quick access to various applications.

HTC’s upcoming U 11 was just spotted in benchmarks again, confirming some of its previously rumored specs, like 4GB of RAM and the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform, coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. In fact, there’s little that we don’t know about the U 11, as many of its specs and features have been leaking for weeks now.

The listing on GFXBench reveals that HTC U 11 will have a 5.5-inch QHD touchscreen display and will feature 64GB of internal storage, together with a 12MP rear camera and a 16MP selfie snapper in the front.

HTC U 11 comes with the new Edge Sense feature

HTC U 11 will most likely run Android 7.1.1 Nougat together with the latest HTC Sense UI on top. The premium specs only compliment the smartphone’s main selling point, which is its Edge Sense frame that allows users to squeeze the phone and access various apps.

Suggestions of applications would open along the right and left edge of the screen, allowing access to a plenitude of apps and system settings. The feature has already been teased by HTC in a number of posters announcing that the launch will take place on May 16.

Moreover, the HTC U 11 will be in line with the other U smartphones in the series and will lack the 3.5mm headphone jack. Instead, HTC intends to add an adaptor in the box, for customers to use their own headphones. The U 11 will also feature a USB Type-C port and a 3,000mAh battery to power the device and keep its lights on. The price and availability will be revealed on May 16, when HTC plans to announce the new device.
