HTC released its flagship smartphone, HTC 10, earlier this year, and the Taiwanese company has recently started sending out thank-you notes to customers who pre-ordered the device. The notes have already been received by some owners of unlocked HTC 10 smartphones.

After unlocked variants of the HTC 10 started shipping, customers who pre-ordered the device received official emails from HTC. The company thanked them for ordering the device and announced that HTC 10 owners would get a package in the next couple of weeks, according to PhoneArena.

Now, it seems that HTC has begun shipping the packages and fans have received thank-you notes, as well as gifts. HTC has decided to reward fans for pre-ordering the device and has given them an extra USB-C cable.

While the gift isn’t an eye-catcher, it surely is useful, considering that USB-C will fully replace the USB technology, and when it comes to such cables, the more, the merrier.

UH OH Protection is available at no extra cost

HTC has also announced that UH OH Protection will be available free of charge. The UH OH Protection is a plan that offers a free phone replacement in case of a cracked screen, water damage or a carrier switch during the first year from the date of purchase.

Normally, the process requires a $599 credit card hold until the company receives the damaged phone, but customers who pre-ordered the device won’t need to pay that. Owners can also send their damaged phone using a prepaid label provided by HTC and receive the replacement within 2 days from HTC.

HTC 10 is surely an impressive smartphone, with a 5.2-inch display, 2560 x 1440 resolution, 4GB of RAM, and 32 or 64GB of internal storage. It also packs a 2.2GHz quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and up to 2TB expandable memory. The handset also comes with a fingerprint scanner, a 12MP rear camera, and a 5MP one on the front.
