HTC One X9 leaked for the first time as a flagship smartphone, but after a few reports coming from well-known insiders, we agreed the device is just another mid-range device coming from the Taiwanese company.

So, instead of having a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display, the One X9 is said to sport a full HD (1080) screen. The phone's listing at TENAA confirms some of the phone's previously rumored specs.

According to a new report, HTC One X9 has just been certified at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, which suggests the phone is very likely to launch by the end of the year.

Along with the phone's specs, HTC has also uploaded live pictures of the One X9 so that we also know what the device looks like when it gets released.

This is not the first time that we get to see the One X9's design, but it's the first time the pictures showing the phone come from an official source.

It features 4G LTE connectivity too

For those unfamiliar with HTC One X9's hardware configuration, here is a quick rundown of the main features, according to TENAA.

As mentioned earlier, the One X9 sports a decent 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Also, the mid-range device includes a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor, probably provided by MediaTek, as well as 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage expandable up to 1 TB via microSD card slot.

On the back, HTC One X9 features a 13-megapixel shooter with autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, and video recording. There's also a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

The listing at TENAA also highlights the fact that One X9 measures 153.2x75.9x7.99 mm and weighs around 174 g (battery included). Speaking of which, the smartphone drains energy from a 3,000 mAh battery.

Last but not least, HTC One X9 is confirmed to come preloaded with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop platform right out of the box.
