14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this month, HTC unveiled the One M9 Prime Camera Edition in Germany. It’s a recycled version of the One M9, but it did come with some appealing specs, like UltraPixel capabilities. Now, it seems that the company intends to launch another variant of the One M9, the One M9+ Prime Camera Edition. HTC has listed the smartphone on its online store in India.
HTC has priced the One M9+ Prime Camera Edition at $357 (€322), but the device doesn’t come with any significant differences compared to the One M9 Prime Camera Edition.
HTC’s Prime Camera Edition of the One M9+ has a slightly, larger 5.2-inch display with Full HD resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The One M9 Prime Camera Edition has the same pixel resolution, but a smaller screen of 5 inches.
The HTC One M9+ Prime Camera Edition comes with a 2840mAh battery and measures 150.9x71.9x9.6mm. It’s a bit slimmer and thinner than the One M9 Prime Camera Edition, but the latter model weighed a little less, 158 grams compared to 168 grams for the model unveiled in India recently. Still, the 10 grams difference in weight is barely noticeable.
One M9+ Prime Camera Edition is available in two color variants
All other specifications are the same for both smartphones. One M9+ Prime Camera Edition comes with an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 clocked at 2.2GHz.
It also has a 13MP rear camera on the back with optical image stabilization, 4K video recording, and laser auto flash. It sports a 4-UltraPixel front camera with BSI sensor, suitable for low-light environments. The selfie snapper has f/2.0 aperture and 2.68 cm lens.
The One M9+ Prime Camera Edition features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, with the option to expand to up to 2TB using a microSD card.
Connectivity options are the same for both phones, namely 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, microUSB, 3.5mm audio jack, and NFC support. The One M9+ Prime Camera Edition is available in two colors, Silver and Gunmetal.
