The HTC One A9 is a mid-range Android smartphone that comes pre-loaded with the latest version of Android. This is the first smartphone that's not Nexus, which ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box.

According to HTC, the smartphone is available for a limited time at a promotional price of $400 outright. The Taiwanese company launched two versions of the One A9 based on the amount of memory: 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, as well as 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.

The most expensive, the 3GB RAM, is the one that costs $400, so the 2GB model should be priced much lower. It's also worth mentioning that the HTC One A9 allows users to unlock the bootloader without losing the warranty.

Specs-wise, HTC One A9 sports a 5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating.

A decent mid-range Android smartphone

The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and either 2GB or 3GB of RAM.

As mentioned earlier, HTC One A9 packs 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 200GB via microSD card slot.

As previous rumors pointed out, the One A9 features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilization) and full HD (1080p) video recording.

In the front there's a secondary 4-UltraPixel camera for selfies and video calls, which can capture full HD (1080p) video.

The One A9 packs a fingerprint sensor and promises to offer great sound quality with HTC BoomSound integrated into the headset combined with Dolby Audio surround technology.

When it comes to connectivity, HTC One A9 is an all-rounder, as the smartphone offers 4G LTE support, NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.

Last but not least, the phone is powered by a non-removable 2,150 mAh battery, which should provide up to 18 days of standby time or up to 16 hours of talk time. The One A9 integrated Quick Charge technology for fast battery charging.
