As expected, HTC One A9 has been officially unveiled in India, but the Taiwanese company has yet to announce details on the phone's availability and price tag.

Even though we believe the smartphone should go on sale sometime in the coming weeks, there's no way to guess the One A9's price, as HTC changes prices of its products based on the country.

According to a new report, the HTC One A9 has been introduced in India as an “ultra selfie” smartphone, which isn't quite accurate since the smartphone comes with a 4-UltraPixel front-facing camera.

The One A9's main selling point seems to be its design. Even though controversial, HTC One A9's design is very stylish thanks to its thin metal unibody form factor and premium finish.

But HTC One A9 is not just about looks, as the smartphone comes equipped with a powerful 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor inside, an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and either 2GB or 3GB of RAM.

No word on which variant will be available in India

According to HTC, the international version of One A9 will pack only 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory while the US variant packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Both versions come with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 2TB).

Obviously, this means different prices as well. Unfortunately, we don't know which version of HTC One A9 will be available for purchase in India. Hopefully, that information will surface in the coming days.

Another strong point of the HTC One A9 is the 13-megapixel camera on the back, which features phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash and video recording. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone also comes with a secondary 4-UltraPixel camera in the front.

HTC One A9 sports a 5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating.

Last but not least, the One A9 packs a fingerprint sensor underneath the Home button, as well as a 2,150 mAh battery inside. Of course, it ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system onboard.
