The controversial HTC One A9 is about to make its debut at AT&T later this week. The smartphone was initially priced at $400, but only for a limited time.

According to HTC USA, the One A9's will be increased to $500 after November 6, but AT&T has decided to price the phone slightly higher.

The good news is that customers can grab the HTC One A9 for just $100, but they will have to commit to a new two-year agreement.

AT&T also offers additional options for those who want to grab HTC's latest mid-range smartphone. Basically, you can get it for $0 down on AT&T Next 24 ($17.34 for 30 months), 18 ($21.67 for 24 months) and 12 ($26 for 20 months).

The first HTC smartphone to ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box is available in two color options: Carbon Gray and Opal Silver.

The carrier offers the 3GB RAM model

If you decided to go for the One A9, then you should know that the smartphone flaunts a 5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating.

Hardware-wise, HTC One A9 looks pretty decent thanks to its 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

Also, the smartphone packs 32GB of internal memory, but users can further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

There's also a 13-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, dual-LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary 4-UltraPixel camera in the front for selfies and video calls.

Obviously, the smartphone supports AT&T's 4G LTE network but also offers other connectivity options including Wi-Fi, NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with AGPS and GLONASS.
