They will be available for just about every major carrier

It looks like HTC is done launching different high-end versions of its One M9 flagship smartphone and has started to bring some affordable devices into the market.

The Taiwanese company is back in the mid- and low-tier market with not one or two, but four new smartphones that will soon go on sale in the United States.

The new members of HTC's Desire family will be available for purchase at just about every major carrier in the United States in the next couple of weeks.

HTC Desire 626, Desire 626s, Desire 526 and Desire 520 will be available at AT&T, Boost Mobile, Cricket, MetroPCS, Sprint, T-Mobile and Virgin Mobile.

They won't be available at all carriers in the US, so depending on which network you are now, you will be able to get one or two of them.

According to HTC, the Desire 626 and Desire 520 will be available to Verizon. HTC Desire 626s and Desire 520 will go on sale at Cricket. AT&T will get the HTC Desire 626 as well, while T-Mobile and Sprint will offer the Desire 626s.

Other US-based carriers mentioned earlier will announce which of the smartphones will be offering in the not so distant future.

Premium look, but outdated specs

Unfortunately, HTC only mentioned that these smartphones are “premium” yet “affordable,” but completely skipped any info on pricing options.

However, we do know the HTC Desire 626s will be available at T-Mobile for $169 outright and that it will hit shelves on July 22.

Moving on to specs, HTC Desire 626 is the best featured of the four and comes with a 5-inch HD display, 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB storage, microSD card slot, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 5-megapixel selfies camera and 2,000 mAh battery.

The Desire 626s has a similar 5-inch HD display, while the Desire 526 and Desire 520 have 4.7-inch and 4.5-inch displays. All of them pack 8-megapixel rear cameras.

There's no mention of platform, but we expect them to ship with at least Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.
