HTC Desire 626 made its debut on the market last year in March. The smartphone is now available in North America, Europe and other regions.

However, customers in India have been given the chance to purchase a slightly improved version of the HTC Desire 626.

The dual-SIM version of HTC Desire 626 is now available for purchase in India for Rs 14,990 ($220 / €195) outright, which seems decent enough in comparison with other HTC smartphones launched in the country.

According to HTC, aside from dual-SIM, the smartphone comes with LTE support as well. Potential customers will be able to grab the Desire 626 Dual SIM in both Blue Lagoon and White Birch color options.

Unlike the single-SIM model launched last year, the dual-SIM version comes equipped with a 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

5-inch HD display and 2,000 mAh battery

Another strong point of the mid-range smartphone is the 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with backside illumination, autofocus, and full HD (1080p) video recording. The 5-megapixel front-facing camera features BSI and can capture full HD video as well.

HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and comes preloaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with HTC Sense on top.

“Our customers are gradually looking for stylish 4G LTE enabled smartphones with faster processors, network speeds and outstanding battery life. They are creating and consuming rich video content and want greater freedom to personalise their smartphones.

“We know they love the flexibility that comes with expandable memory. At a remarkable price, the HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM delivers the distinctive features with an outstanding user experience in a sleek, chic, slim package,”  said Mr. Faisal Siddiqui, president, HTC South Asia.
