Just another photoshopped picture or the real deal?

HTC is trying hard to become competitive in the smartphone industry once again, but up until now it didn't work too well for the Taiwanese company. It's been many months since HTC's revenue showed positive results, but the handset maker still hopes its upcoming flagship will improve its financial situation.

The HTC 11 is the next big thing coming from the Taiwanese handset maker, and while we're still many months away from its official reveal, the first details about the phone have already leaked online last week.

If you haven't read our previous report on the HTC 11, then you should know that, on paper, the smartphone is a real beast.

If the rumors are true, the HTC 11 could be the world's first smartphone to pack 8GB of RAM, though it's hard to believe that HTC will be able to pull that off.

Aside from the high amount of RAM, the smartphone is also said to come with no less than 256GB of internal memory. Hopefully, other variants with less storage inside will be available, otherwise the HTC 11 will be a pretty expensive device.

If the phone's leaked specs didn't convince you that HTC 11 is worth the wait, then maybe a picture of the phone will. A press render of the smartphone popped up in China via Weibo, the Chinese alternative to Facebook.

Unfortunately, it's hard to tell if the image is another fake picture made in Photoshop or is the real deal. We'll probably have to wait for other sources to confirm whether or not this is HTC's upcoming flagship smartphone.

12MP dual camera system and a powerful Snapdragon 835 CPU

But if it's real, we noticed HTC has decided to adopt the bezel-less design that's been so successful for other companies recently. The HTC 11 doesn't feature a physical Home button and there's a dual camera setup on the back side.

However, the camera isn't positioned in the middle of the upper side on the back of the phone, but in the right corner. Rumor has it that this is a 12-megapixel dual-camera system, which is complemented by a secondary 8-megapixel camera in the front.

According to previous reports, HTC 11 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and a generous 3,700 mAh battery with fast charging technology.

It's also supposed to boast a vibrant 5.5-inch display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, slightly larger than the current HTC 10 flagship.
