As expected, HTC has introduced not one, but two Android smartphones this week. Aside from its flagship handset, HTC 10, the Taiwanese company has also announced the upcoming release of a slightly downgraded version dubbed HTC 10 Lifestyle.

However, HTC 10 Lifestyle is aimed at emerging markets where HTC 10 won’t be released. India and a few other countries will get the Lifestyle, but we’re still waiting for HTC to reveal information on price and availability.

Just as LG did with the LG G5, which is available in a downgraded version in Latin America, HTC will launch the “10 Lifestyle” model in select countries.

Different chipset, less RAM inside

The smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, instead of the Snapdragon 820 CPU inside the HTC 10.

Also, HTC 10 Lifestyle packs only 3GB of RAM instead of 4GB, and it will include an Adreno 510 graphics processing unit.

According to HTC, its engineers did a lot of optimizations for the software to work smoothly on the hardware inside the HTC 10 Lifestyle, so users shouldn’t be worried about that.

HTC 10 Lifestyle comes in just one version: 32GB. The LTE speed has been downgraded too due to the fact that it packs another chipset instead of the Snapdragon 820.

The rest of the phone’s specs are similar to those of the HTC 10. This means the Lifestyle comes with a 5.2-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

The device’s main selling point is the 12-UltraPixel rear-facing camera that features dual-tone LED flash, laser autofocus, OIS (optical image stabilization) and 4K video recording. On the front, the smartphone packs a secondary 5-megapixel camera with OIS, which should be perfect for state-of-the-art selfies.

HTC 10 Lifestyle will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner positioned under the Home button, as well as a USB Type-C port for blazing fast data speeds.
