A Korean game set for release on March 19

Silent World is the name of an upcoming Korean horror adventure game that reminds me of Tarsiers Studios' Little Nightmares. However, the former seems more intense and horrifying than the latter, but the art style and the world resemble one another.

Developed by GniFrix and published by CFK, Silent World will be released for Nintendo Switch and PC on March 19. There's no mention of the price, but the publisher said pre-orders will kick off on March 12, at least on the Nintendo eShop. You can't wishlist the game on Steam yet since it hasn't been listed on Valve's digital platform.

Anyway, Silent World happens in a fictional world where the nuclear war brought a lot of hostile mutants. You are the only survivor, but you must fight your way through the darkness if you are to remain alive.

It looks like there will be no fighting in Silent World, as players must guide humanity's lone survivor through terrifying landscapes using only limited commands like walking and hiding. There's just one game mechanic that might save you when you're in danger: a match.

Players can use the light of a match to continue their way in the endless blackness. Silent World isn't necessarily aimed at horror fans, as everyone can enjoy the stages filled with dark and bleak background, frightening music and various puzzles.

That's about all we know about Silent World and its world ruined by nuclear war. There might be some jump scares here and there as well judging by the release trailer, but that's just an assumption based on what we're seeing.

If you like the premise and the gameplay, you'll be able to pre-order Silent World come March 12, but it might be a better idea to wait until its release one week later on March 19.
