The phone got more than 5 million registrations in China

Huawei released the Honor 8 a few days ago, and it seems that in just four days since registrations went live, 5 million interested people signed up in China, according to Playfuldroid. People who ordered the smartphone didn't need to make any payments, as the actual flash sale starts on July 19.

Registrations for the Honor 8 will end on July 18, which means that fans can still fill out a form in order to take part in the flash sale later this month.

Huawei's Honor 8 comes with a 5.2-inch 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. In addition, the smartphone runs Kirin 950 SoC and carries an octa-core CPU and Mali-T88 MP 4 graphics processing unit. The handset boasts a dual camera setup, and its capacity is 12MP with laser autofocus and 1.76-micron pixels size. It also has f/2.2 aperture and should perform well in low-light conditions.

Front camera capacity should reach 8MP, and the device comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back. Honor 8 draws power from a 3,000mAh battery and provides support for fast charging. What's more, it comes with hybrid dual SIM and is 7.45mm thick and weighs 153 grams. USB Type-C and 4G LTE connectivity are also among the goodies it brings.

Huawei's Honor 8 is available in two variants depending on RAM capacity

Honor 8 comes in multiple color variants, including Pearl White, Sunrise Gold, Midnight Black, Sakura Pink, and Sapphire Blue. The smartphone runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 with Huawei's Emotion UI (EMUI) 4.1 on top. Also worth mentioning is that the phone comes with a metal and glass case.

Then, the smartphone is available in two variants. The 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage version will feature a price tag of $300 while the second variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage should sell for $374.

Honor 8 is available for international pre-order as well, the smartphone should start shipping worldwide on July 19.
