There's no mention of the PC version of Hitman

Warner Bros. and IO Interactive have partnered up to offer HITMAN: Definitive Edition in stores for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

IO Interactive parted ways with Square Enix, and it looks like they were in need of a new publisher. The only difference is that IO Interactive continues to remain an independent studio, and is only using the services of Warner Bros. for this publishing deal.

It’s not clear if this is the road that the studio wanted to follow from the start, but it took them quite a while to reach it. The game started with an innovative idea of episodic content, but it hasn’t been an easy ride, despite the fact the game is quite good.

The game has been available for some time, but IO Interactive is also celebrating its 20th anniversary, and they wanted to do something special. That’s why the game has been updated with a number of in-game disguises from some of the other games made by the studio, including Freedom Fighters, Kane & Lynch, and Mini Ninjas.

The HITMAN: Definitive Edition is comprised of HITMAN Season One (Main Game), HITMAN Game of the Year Edition Content, the Summer Bonus Episode, Blood Money Requiem Pack, IO Interactive’s 20th Anniversary Outfit Bundle, and pretty everything else that’s been released for the game.

You might have noticed that the PC version of HITMAN: Definitive Edition is missing, and it’s unclear why. The PC platform was considered the main support for Hitman games. On the other hand, it’s possible that all of the content announced for Hitman will be released as a bundle, on Steam, at a later date.

In the meantime, it looks like only the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X, and Xbox One players will be able to enjoy this offer. It should arrive in stores starting May 18th, 2018.
