Agent 47 is ready for one more adventure, as developer IO Interactive announced the conclusion to the trilogy, Hitman 3 will launch in January 2021. More importantly, the game will be available on next-gen consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but also on current-gen ones such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Obviously, PC players will be able to play the game as well when it launched next year.

Since Hitman 3 is dubbed as “the dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy,” fans of the series can expect some interesting turn of events. IO Interactive revealed that players will be taken on a globetrotting adventure to sandbox locations, but most importantly we learn that Agent 47 is back for the most important contract of his entire career.

Along with the reveal trailer, developers confirmed the first of six locations that players will be able to visit in Hitman 3: Dubai. It looks like the game will start in Dubai, on the highest hotel in the world, and according to IO Interactive, everything that we're seeing in the trailer is captured in-engine. Also, in the coming weeks, we're promised a hands-on gameplay trailer that will show more about Hitman 3.

Fans of the series will be happy to know that it will be possible to “import” locations that they own from the previous two Hitman games into Hitman 3, which means that all 20+ locations from the entire trilogy will be available in a single place.

Ultimately, the option to import location from previous games to Hitman 3 will allows one to play the entire trilogy from beginning to end, from within Hitman 3. Also, that means the progression systems in Hitman 3 work across all locations.

For example, if you unlock an item in Dubai, you'll be able to take it with you to Paris. In addition, Hitman 2 players will have the option to carry over all their unlocks and progression into Hitman 3, which was one of the most requested features by players of the previous titles.
