Video game developer Blizzard is ready to launch a new champion for all Heroes of the Storm to use, with the player base able to get access to Genn Greymane, the King of Gilneas, a powerful assassin who can take on his enemies both as a human and as a worgen.

The new character for the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title can engage enemies both at range and in melee, offering gamers a wide variety of options when it comes to combat.

The official announcement states, "But as Greymane is well aware, transformation comes at a cost. In order to gain the benefits of worgen form, Greymane must dive directly into the battle, often making him a vulnerable and high-priority target for enemies. Because of this, the best Greymane strategy is often to weaken your opponent with pistol and potion, then execute your opponent in worgen form."

The primary abilities for the human form of the new Heroes of the Storm champion include Inner Beast, Darkflight and Gylnean Cocktail and for his worgen aspect, the choices are Inner Beast, Razor Swipe and Disengage.

The heroic abilities for Greymane are Go for the Throat, which allows a player to jump at an enemy hero, shift into worgen form and then slash him three times to deal a lot of damage, and Marked for the Kill, which turns the character human and fires a special moderate damage shot at an opponent, which makes him more vulnerable for a period of time.

Three different skins are offered for the champion on launch.

Heroes of the Storm also receives an update for the store and the mechanics

Gamers will be able to get access to Greymane but also to get some new items and skins in the official store, including a Ringmaster Greymane Bundle that features an exclusive Ringmaster’s Pride mount.

Blizzard is also launching a new update for Heroes of the Storm, which makes some limited changes to the mechanics and also moves Cho'gall to the store and eliminates the quest that allowed players to unlock the hero.

The studio has not said how many new characters it plans to introduce to the MOBA in the coming year and what kind of tweaks it has planned for the core gameplay during the coming months.

The game needs to constantly improve its balance and deliver new content and events in order to compete with League of Legends from Riot Games and DOTA 2 from Valve.

Activision has also announced that it has big plans for the eSports field, which includes Heroes of the Storm, and a big set of events might be organized using the infrastructure that was obtained via the acquisition of Major League Gaming.

The MOBA field is a crowded one at the moment, and plenty of companies are trying to create their niche, but it seems that the genre will be dominated by the companies that have plenty of resources for development, thus making sure that their tournaments are attractive for gamers.
