Drones already carry people, I wonder what's next?

It's pretty clear that for the last couple of years the drone mania didn't die down and, in fact, goes on developing even crazier designs than before.

Since they inception, quadcopters managed to carry cameras and film stuff, carry packages for delivery, shoot guns and now, they carry people. Quite similar in design and purpose as the Mad Max minicopter, except that it has 54 mini propellers instead of one, this guy's drone flyer can hover a person in the air.

Lifting a person via 54 counter rotation propellers, it features six grouped control channels with Hobbyking stabilization. Called "The Swarm," obvious reference to the multitude of propellers, it has a take-off weight of 148kg and a max approximated lift of 164kg. Impressively enough, it has an endurance of 10 minutes.

Looking at this thing, you'd likely have the impression of watching a modern version of the Wright Brothers discovering flight for the first time. It's as impressive as it's amusing. For instance, at around minute 3:08 mark, you can see a car passing by and then back up to watch the contraption in all of its ridiculous glory.

However, the great controllability given by 54 blades is not to be underestimated. This shows how easily and cheaply a similar thing could be built to carry heavy packages in the low city airspace, and help companies rely less and less on trucks and vans that get all the time stuck in traffic or arrive late at their destination.
