You can make your trip in the Fallout world more fun

Now that Fallout 4 (review) has been released, we can finally test some cheats, although it's not really surprising they exist since the game is using The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim engine.

Let’s face it, some of you who are not me will use cheats in Fallout 4. Of course, you’re going to need a PC version of the game, so the console users can only sit back and relax; although relax might be the wrong word since they can’t enable god mode to protect themselves from a feral Yao guai.

Since Fallout 4 is using the Creation Engine from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, many of the same codes will apply in this game as well. It’s quite easy to apply the cheat codes, and users will be able to walk through walls or go everywhere with just a few game console commands.

Enough, give me cheats or give me death

If you have Fallout 4 for the PC, all you need to do is to press the ~ key (next to 1) and enter the following commands, without any quotes, lines, and so on.

tgm - This is simply the god mode. Enter this command and no creature will be able to hurt you

killall - This command will terminate all the creatures in the vicinity of the character. Use with care.

resethealth - This will restore the life of the NPC characters to full.

player.resethealth - The same command as the one above, but for the main character.

TAI - This is an acronym for Toggle Artificial Intelligence and it does just that, for all the entities in the game.

unlock - This command unlocks anything that is selected with the cursor.

tcl - noclip is turned on and allows users to pass through walls.

There are a number of other commands that we didn’t get to test, so we don’t know if they are going to work, although it’s likely that’s not the case.

It’s also worth pointing out that it’s possible that you won’t be able to get achievements after you use cheats. That hasn’t happened with Skyrim, but there’s no guarantee that Bethesda won’t do things differently this time.

Fallout 4 was released today, November 10, on PC (Steam), Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Enjoy!
