Electronic Arts and Ghost Games have revealed a huge list of performance upgrades that players can make to their cars in the upcoming Need for Speed. From major components like the ECU, engine block, or clutch, to smaller ones like the air filter or the cam shaft, fans will be able to tinker with an array of things when the racing title appears this November.

Need for Speed is the next iteration in the long-running franchise published by Electronic Arts. After the not-so-successful NFS Rivals, developer Ghost Games took extra time to make sure that the upcoming, simply titled Need for Speed lives up to fan expectations.

The two companies have shared an array of details about the various play styles supported by the racing game, as well as the fact that it will once again focus on nighttime racing and car tuning culture, just like memorable iterations including NFS Underground.

A lot of different performance upgrades can be made to cars in NFS

After talking about the many different visual customization mechanics in the upcoming game, the team at Ghost Games has just presented, via the official website, a huge list of actual components that can be upgraded to increase a car's performance.

"You’ve completed the visual customization and tuned the handling of your ride but while it’s turning heads and handling absolutely perfectly there’s one thing that’s missing, the performance upgrades. Under the hood sits a set of parts just waiting to be upgraded. All with the goal of improving your car’s performance output," the studio explains.

Need for Speed veterans can spot important upgrades for major components like the ECU, the engine block, the clutch, or the iconic nitrous system, but also for all-new things like the air filter, cylinder heads, exhaust manifold, sway bars, and much more.

The new Need for Speed has a beta that's scheduled to arrive on PS4 and Xbox One in the following weeks. The actual game is going to launch this November on the two aforementioned consoles and in spring of 2016 for the PC. Until then, check out the full list of performance upgrades in Need for Speed below.
