14 DAY TRIAL // Borderlands fans, rejoice! Developer Gearbox has just released a 12-minute video showing off gameplay from the upcoming Borderlands 3 expansion – Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock, which is set to launch on all platforms on March 26.
The brand new campaign add-on was revealed last month at PAX East, but Gearbox has decided to give players a deeper look into what's to come. Players who've already bought the Borderlands 3 Season Pass or the Super Deluxe Edition will receive the expansion for free, just like they got Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot free of charge.
Borderlands 3 was initially an Epic Store exclusive, but you can now buy it on Steam for $30 / €30 (50 percent discount included). The Deluxe Edition is priced at $40 / €40, while the Super Deluxe Edition can be had for $50 / €50.
Before we start talking about the next expansion, it's worth adding that Gearbox plans to offer players an even deeper dive into Guns, Love, and Tentacles on March 24, just two days ahead of launch.
As far as the upcoming expansion goes, players will visit the ice planet of Xylourgos, where a gargantuan monster lies frozen above a village full of deranged occultists. They'll have to fight back the forces of otherworldly evil if Wainwright and Hammerlock are to have their happily ever after.
Apart from the fact that you'll be reuniting old friends and team up with some weird new characters, you'll be fighting bloodthirsty enemies and formidable bosses, including alien beasts, mutated occultists, and a clan of cold-blooded bandits.
The expansion includes many side missions, new gear, including a trove of additional Legendaries and some supremely powerful Class Mods, as well as a slew of new cosmetic items, from Vault Hunter Heads & Skins to interactive Room Decorations and all-new Vehicle Skins.
