Daniel Craig still has a couple of more James Bond movies after this year’s “SPECTRE,” but the world has been dying to know whom producers will bring in next, as his replacement. Idris Elba was a strong contender for a while, with movie pundits even saying he should get the job because it would make him the first black 007.

Apparently, Henry Cavill is also being considered for the part, or at the very least, rumors say he is. Speaking with Men’s Health to promote “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.,” the handsome Brit highlights the obvious: it would be amazing if he got the part.

At the same time, though, getting the part would only be half of the issue because there’d also be the problem of scheduling to consider.

“The Bond people are wonderful, and I’d like to work with them,” he says. “But it depends on whether they want me to do it, and there’s a time factor. Superman movies take a full year out, and if The Man From UNCLE becomes a franchise… I’m not too sure where I could fit Bond in.”

Indeed, the rebooted Superman takes up a lot of time, especially since Cavill will have to do both the standalone pics and the new Justice League movies from Warner Bros.

Based on online buzz, Cavill shouldn’t worry about “U.N.C.L.E.” because it will not be turned into a franchise, despite the talent involved and the money that went into making it. We’ll see about it in a very short while, as it’s scheduled for wide release on August 14.
