Halo 5: Guardians is designed to deliver some major changes to the traditional multiplayer formula of the series, and there are still gamers who are a little unsure about the effects that this revolution will have on their experience.

Chris Lee, a director of production working on the title at 343 Industries, says that the company is aware of their concerns and is constantly analyzing data in order to make sure that all the new features are carefully balanced.

He tells GamingBolt that "We took Sprint which was a hot button issue for the community, and we looked at how powerful sprint was and we agreed and we decided that it was a bit too powerful. So what we did was lowered the top line speed of Sprint and actually increased the baseline movement speed to close that gap."

In the current incarnation of Halo 5: Guardians, 343 Industries says Sprint is a good tactical option as long as gamers deploy it when needed, but it is nowhere as powerful as it was during the beta testing period.

At the moment, the studio does not have plans to test the mechanics on the Xbox One before the full launch.

Halo 5: Guardians aims to be dynamic in multiplayer

343 Industries wants its coming title to appeal to a wide number of players and to become a staple of eSports competitions, which means that it needs to offer dynamic mechanics comparable to those of Call of Duty and Battlefield.

The new Spartans can sprint, can evade enemy shots better than before, and can equip a wider variety of other abilities.

Given the range of the changes, it's very possible that the title will need quite a few post-launch updates in order to reach a solid balance.

Halo 5: Guardians also introduces an entirely new mode, called Warzone, which is designed to mix both Player versus Environment and Player versus Player features.

A new Arena mode is designed to appeal to those who want a more ranked competitive shooter experience, which will be used for the World Championship that's coming in the winter of this year.

Halo 5: Guardians will be out only on the Xbox One on October 27 of this year.
