The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are announcing that all interested gamers can pick up a copy of Halo 5: Guardians for the price of 30 dollars or Euro from the official online store until March 20, with the special offer designed to celebrate the finals of the World Championship that are taking place in Seattle this weekend.

The Deluxe Edition of the game, which features more REQ card packs, can be obtained for 45 dollars or Euro, and those who are looking for a cheap physical version can pick one up from Amazon during the same time frame.

To celebrate the World Championship, gamers can also pick up a new Spartan's Armory REQ pack in the official store, which offers 14 unique weapon skins, including two for the Magnum and assault rifle, which were previously reserved for the development team at 343 Industries.

The bundle can be picked up until March 20 and costs 10 dollars or Euro or 80,000 RP earned in the shooter.

Microsoft says that gamers will be able to see all the matches of the World Championships for Halo 5: Guardians on Twitch, with the matches starting tomorrow and ending on Sunday with a final title match that will also feature a first look at the Warzone Firefight mode.

Fans are still interested in the Master Chief-powered shooter

Microsoft says that the community has purchased enough REQ content using real world money to push the prize pool over the 2.5 million dollars (2.1 million Euro) mark, with the best team in the world picking up a record-breaking 1 million dollars (770,000 Euro).

It's unclear whether the crowdfunding model for prizes will be maintained for future competitions that will feature Halo 5: Guardians or if the concept is only viable for the high-profile World Championship.

According to 343 Industries, the plan is to launch the next free major downloadable content pack for the shooter, called Ghosts of Meridian, at some point in early April, delivering an entirely new map called Skirmish at Darkstar.

The package will also feature more REQ cards, a new game mode and more tweaks that will improve the balance.

The Warzone Firefight mode, which will allow teams of Spartans to take on waves of powerful AI-controlled enemies, will be offered at some point in the summer and gamers will also get a new graphic novel and other lore content for the franchise all through 2016.
