Gamers will use it for Assault and Capture the Flag

The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are ready to announce that the new Ghosts of Meridian free downloadable content pack for Halo 5: Guardians, which will be offered at the start of April, will be delivering not only one new map but two, with the second one called Tyrant and designed to cater to those who love Capture the Flag and Assault.

According to Gamespot, this is a small scale environment with perfect symmetry, which makes it a solid choice for snipers who are looking for good kills but also for those who want to move around quickly and get into close quarters engagements.

The lore delivered by 343 Industries explains that Tyrant is set in the Zeta Hydronis Secundus system, which was the site of a massive set of battles between Forerunners and the Flood which led to the destruction of most of the area save for some artifacts.

Quinn DelHoyo, a multiplayer designer, working on Halo 5: Guardians, offers some hints on how Tyrant needs to be tackled, stating, "The first tip is to grab the opposing flag and toss it into the nearby grav-lift/man cannon. If you have a teammate waiting on the other side, they can start running the flag while you hold off opponents in their base."

Skirmish at Darkstar is also part of Ghosts of Meridian

Delivering Tyrant in April is a nice surprise as gamers were already preparing to explore a new map for the Warzone mode, which is smaller in size than its sisters and will feature powerful bosses that use vehicles and can call in reinforcements when under attack.

Josh Holmes says that the design of Skirmish at Darkstar is designed to be open and to allow players to shin in combat regardless of the REQs that they bring to the fight, with density more important during the creation process than simple size.

Ghosts of Meridian will also introduce some new weapons to Halo 5: Guardians and there are also Hannibal versions for the Scorpion and the Mantis to use, with a full list of cards offered when the DLC goes live.

343 Industries has also said that it will make some tweaks to the core gameplay.

Halo 5: Guardians will get a new Player versus Environment game mode called Warzone Firefight at some point in the summer, and the developers are also planning more balancing and fixes for the coming months
