Video game developer 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are aiming to deliver some major changes to the series when Halo 5: Guardians is launched, and one of the biggest new experiences that gamers will be able to enjoy is the all-new Warzone mode for multiplayer.

A new update on the official site aims to offer more information on the way spawning will work and how some core systems have been designed around it.

343 Industries states, "our design goals were simple, let players not worry about spawning if they don’t want to, but provide control if they’d like to spawn close or far from the action, or at/near a specific team base."

Lawrence Metten, the senior multiplayer designer, explains that each spawn node for Warzone in Halo 5: Guardians has been manually placed and linked to rings, which the team has created based on distance from the base where most of the fighting occurs.

William Archbell, a senior software engineering lead, adds that a new Bro Spawn system has been created in order to offer a more dynamic option for gamers, allowing them to appear behind a teammate within the dedicated zone of a base.

To create the new system, 343 Industries is analyzing player clusters and then deciding which ones are the most suitable based on player activity and other data, with the core aim of making sure that gamers quickly understand what they have to do once they are spawned.

Halo 5: Guardians Warzone will emphasize team work

Cheyne Arteritano, the test lead for the new mode, says that 343 Industries has managed to find a way to spawn gamers in good locations despite the chaos linked to the move, and wants the system to encourage players to focus on the abilities of their team.

Warzone is a complex mode that mixes classic Player versus Player and Player versus Environment mechanics, with fans able to fight some of the most iconic enemies in the series.

343 Industries and Microsoft have constructed special maps to accommodate the new experience and want it to become important to those players who are not necessarily interested in the competitive side of Halo 5: Guardians.

For those who want a game mode where individual player performance is the most important concern, the two companies are offering Arena.

Halo 5: Guardians will be out on October 27 on the Xbox One.
