Video game developer 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are continuing to try and improve the Halo 5: Guardians experience, this time focusing on the Arena element of the multiplayer mode, with a new special REQ premium bundle set to be offered on February 16 via the official store.

According to the official site, the coming package will feature a range of content for the Player versus Player focused Spartan, giving gamers access to armor, weapon skins and more, with 14 total packs set to come over a seven-week period.

The Halo 5: Guardians Premium Arena REQ Bundle will cost 24.99 dollars or Euro and is offered all over the world, with each owner of the video game able to only purchase one of them.

343 Industries explains, "The Bundle delivers randomized content focused on unlockable visual customization REQs, including armors, visors, weapon skins, and more. These packs provide a greater chance at unlocking some of the rarest REQs, including Mythic and Legendary items. Additionally, players are guaranteed to receive the Mark V Alpha armor set, inspired by the Master Chief’s armor in Halo: Combat Evolved."

Once the new Arena Premium REQ bundle arrives, it will replace the classic Warzone-themed one in the in-game store, although gamers will still be able to get the older content pack via the Xbox store and retail locations.

The development team has made it clear that it has no plans to allow REQs in the Arena mode that have the potential to give a player a competitive advantage.

Halo 5: Guardians recently received tweaks for Warzone weapons

The studio says that it wants to make a range of weapons more interesting to players, cutting the price of everything from carbines to the suppressor, the Boltshot, and the SAW.

Halo 5: Guardians says that, based on the feedback offered by the players, it might make further changes to the Warzone side of Halo 5: Guardians, which mixes PvP and PvE elements and encourages gamers to use their REQ cards as much as possible.

Sales of the premium bundles and other packs for real world money via the official store allows 343 Industries and Microsoft to increase the prize pool associated with the finals of the World Championship, which will take place at some point during March.

In the meantime, the developers will deliver more content for Halo 5: Guardians via the monthly update, introducing maps, extra REQ, and tweaks to the core gameplay.

The name of the package coming in February has not yet been revealed, but it will be offered for free to all those who own the shooter.

The game recently also received tweaks to the matchmaking, designed to better differentiate between skill levels, and once again player-generated data will be used for future tweaks.

Halo 5: Guardians arrived in the fall of last year, and according to 343 Industries, the single-player component will not be expanded via DLC, which means that the future of Master Chief will stay shrouded in mystery until the next installment in the franchise is revealed.
