Video game developer Daybreak Game Company LLC is announcing that it plans to create two new video games using the core ideas currently powering the Early Access version of H1Z1, in a move that's designed to offer two different types of experience with unique mechanics to the fans who have been supporting the title so far.

H1Z1: King of the Kill is offering a large-scale multiplayer shooter that will include a new set of game modes and a focus on mechanics associated with the genre, with a console version of the title set to be delivered on home consoles at some point during the summer of this year.

H1Z1: Just Survive will be centered around the classic post-apocalyptic survival features that made the game a big hit and will see improvements when it comes to the persistence aspect and activities like base creation, scavenging, and crafting.

Both titles will continue to be offered on Steam Early Access for 19.99 dollars or Euro, and those who own it already will be offered access to both new branches starting on February 16.

Laura Naviaux, the chief publishing officer of Daybreak Games, states on the official site that , "Fostering lasting communities is the bedrock of our organization, and by allowing these worlds to exist independently and grow in their own distinguished ways, we can better deliver on a consistent vision and clear roadmap for each game toward official release and beyond."

The existence of King of the Kill allows the developers to deliver a 1.0 version of one of H1Z1's components in the summer while continuing to refine the ideas that power the Just Survive side of the title.

Daybreak promises unique elements for both spin-offs

Jens Andersen, an executive creative director, explains that for both King of the Kill and Just Survive the team aims to continue to offer new content and to improve the main mechanics based on the feedback offered by the fans.

The multiplayer-focused shooter side of H1Z1 will get a new vehicle-based mode soon, which will introduce more ways for gamers to quickly move across the map to surprise their enemies.

For the Just Survive, spin-off Daybreak aims to improve the immersive elements, trying to get players to think about their situation and the best ways to avoid the undead, get the resources they need and then try to rebuild human civilization in their own image.

Gamers who are in good standing will have their keys, crates, and items offered in both versions of the title starting on February 16, while event tickets are just linked to King of the Kill and air drop tickets remain active in Just Survive.

Daybreak Cash will be the currency used in both versions of the title, and the developers are saying that they will soon make an announcement about console microtransactions.

H1Z1 was first introduced on Steam about a year ago, and since then the development team has announced it has quickly moved past the 1 million units in sales mark just as the original team working on it separated from Sony.
