The summer of 2015 has been dubbed the Summer of Celebrity Splits in the blogosphere, after some of the most popular and seemingly solid couples in showbiz called it quits. Two of these couples were Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale.

Blake and Gwen are working together on NBC’s The Voice, which returns for a brand new season in a few days, so they immediately bonded over their respective divorce experiences. According to Radar Online, they’ve been doing a bit more than just bonding, because they are now dating.

Gwen and Blake are a couple, but not ready yet to go public

Insiders from the show tell the e-zine that the two judges and mentors, Blake and Gwen, had already been good friends before their marriages fell apart, so when that happened, they found new ground to relate to each other on.

Blake proved a good shoulder for Gwen to cry on, and the other way around, and in almost no time, their relationship evolved. Don’t expect them to go public yet, though: their divorces are still ongoing and they will not want to rock the boat too much until they’re finalized.

However, according to one spy, we might see some hints of their new romance on the upcoming season of The Voice, because they’re pretty much acting like smitten high-schoolers.

“There is definitely something going on with the two of them now. Blake and Gwen are being very flirty both on and off set,” a source says. “Blake and Gwen have been leaving the set together at the end of the workday on several occasions and he invited her out to the bar with him after taping too. Plus, the way that they interact both on-camera and off-camera is undeniably flirty.”

A romance made in tabloid heaven

Gwen and Blake promoted The Voice with an appearance on Jimmy Fallon exactly one year ago, with a hilarious segment of his popular Lip-Sync Battle. At about the same time, buzz started picking up online that their respective partners at the time, Gavin and Miranda, might want to keep an eye out on them because their chemistry was simply “too good.”

Then again, this kind of rumors isn’t uncommon, especially with shows that draw large audiences like this one, so no one paid too much attention to this particular report at the time.

Now that Gwen’s and Blake’s marriages are done, assuming there was ever any truth to whatever rumors there were about their good on-set chemistry, if they were to start dating, the relationship would be one made in tabloid heaven, almost literally so.
