The development team at Rockstar working on Grand Theft Auto V is determined to deliver new content for the Online side of the game as quickly as possible and is today announcing and introducing an entirely new mode, called Rhino Hunt.

The addition represents a new take on the classic Adversary mechanics and features a large group of hunters who are using dune buggies and other fast vehicles and are armed with sticky bombs trying to take down one or two players who are using the powerful Rhino tank, which has solid armor and firepower.

The Rhino Mode for GTA V Online can be played in three different locations and a special playlist built around it has also been created, greeting all players who launch the game on the main screen.

Rockstar is also announcing on the Newswire that it is launching a new special week, giving players a chance to get double RP and in-game money when they play the new mode and to enjoy discounts at Ammu-Nation, Warstock Cache & Carry and Merryweather Services until March 3, which means the community will be in a position to improve its weapon caches.

The development team adds, "When you decide to give your Sticky Bomb tossing arm a respite from blowing up Rhinos, you can also score some double RP for quick rank up in both the recently released Till Death Do Us Part Adversary Mode as well as in all Freemode Events all week."

More offers and bonuses for the Rhino Hunt mode might be announced before the end of the seven-day period.

GTA V might also get single-player DLC this year

The Rhino Mode is arriving hot on the heels of a solid Valentine's Day event in the game, and the community seems to be satisfied with the pace of launches when it comes to new content, although many have been asking for a comprehensive update to eliminate some bugs and improve the core mechanics.

Online has made GTA V a big success on all the platforms on which it was launched and that's why Rockstar has been devoting its resources to introducing more modes and extra content for gamers to experience, along with tools to put together their own events.

But rumors are saying that a new single-player downloadable content pack will be announced and launched this year, giving fans access to a new area of Los Santos to explore and introducing another main character to play as.

Rockstar has not commented on these rumors, but the company has said that it plans to have a big presence at the coming E3 2016 event with publisher Take Two.

It's entirely possible that the studio will reveal new content for GTA V, but it might also reveal another video game that it is working on or announce that it is bringing older titles from its catalogue to the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

Fans have long been asking Rockstar to announce a sequel for Red Dead Redemption.
