Gamers will spend time in casinos and riding horses

It seems that despite the focus on the new content for the Online mode for Grand Theft Auto V, the development team at Rockstar is finally finding resources to work on single-player downloadable content for the open world title and might be ready to soon announce the first entry in a series of Episodes, like the ones that were offered for GTA IV.

The information comes from a since-deleted article on Busted, with info aggregated by NeoGAF, which claims that a mysterious YouTube personality has leaked some images and videos associated with the coming DLC pack, which will apparently focus on the story of Anthony Miller, an all-new character for the series.

It seems that the single-player content drop for GTA V is designed to explore locations like San Andreas, San Fierro, and Las Venturas and that some all-new vehicles will be introduced for gamers to ride around it and tweak to their liking.

Casino games and horse riding will apparently become a major part of the gameplay and story.

All the information should be taken with a grain of salt, given that the source has disappeared and neither Rockstar nor Take Two is willing to comment on speculation and rumors.

There has been talk about a single-player DLC delivery for GTA V since the game launched its Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions, and more than one source have talked about an entirely new character and more areas to explore.

Take Two has recently talked about an interesting E3 2016 event, which might be a sign that they are getting ready for a major reveal.

Online will continue to be the focus for a while

The multiplayer side of GTA V has been a major hit with players on all platforms and Rockstar is eager to keep them engaged, which is why it is launching weekly events and introducing new vehicles and weapons while also putting together new Adversary mode and delivering price cuts for some equipment.

Online is very profitable at the moment for both developer and publisher and that might explain while most resources are used for this side of the game rather than on an expansion for the single player.

There's also speculation that this year Rockstar and Take Two are getting ready to announce a new Red Dead title, called Legends of the West, which will offer a prequel experience and multiplayer playable characters.
