The development team at Rockstar is eager to get as many players to engage with the Online side of Grand Theft Auto V, and their most recent initiative is a new weeklong celebration of the recently introduced Lowriders update.

Gamers who log into the open world experience from Monday, November 16 to Sunday, November 22 will be able to get access to big discounts and other rewards.

The lowrider vehicles in GTA Online are linked to the new Benny’s Original Motor Works and the virtual owners are ready to cut the prices of the most interesting cars in their inventory by 25 percent for a new one and by the same amount for the Upgrade.

The daily list of reduced prices includes Monday - Declasse Voodoo, Tuesday - Albany Primo, Wednesday - Albany Buccaneer, Thursday - Declasse Moonbeam, Friday - Vapid Chino and Saturday - Willard Faction.

Bobbleheads are also 75 % off, and gamers can also get weapons and ammunition for a reduced price, giving them more options during the inevitable shootouts.

Rockstar is also offering gamers special hats to celebrate the Lowriders week in GTA Online, one unique design for every day that a player engages with the title.

Double in-game currency and RP are also being offered to gamers who complete a special event playlist, with all activities linked to the new vehicles.

The official announcement explains, "On Saturday if you see Lamar hanging around the shop, help him take out the Vagos and Ballas to earn double GTA$ and RP in the new Contact Missions. And on Sunday, all four of the new Adversary Modes added with GTA Online: Lowriders (Relay, Keep the Pace, Offence Defense, and Slasher) will offer up double GTA$ & RP."

Special guests will also join developers from Rockstar in a special live stream that will take place at 5 PM Eastern Time on Friday, November 20.

GTA V is not getting any new single player content

The Lowriders week is a good occasion for players who have not played a lot recently to jump back in and try the new vehicles and the associated rewards and customization options.

Rockstar has already said that it is no longer planning to work on any single player downloadable content for GTA V because it wants to make sure that fans of Online get a constant stream of new content and experiences.

The studio has suggested that no other major update will arrive this year although there are some special plans for events linked to the winter holiday season.

Online offers gamers a lot of freedom, making it easy for them to take part in structured missions or simply move around the city causing mayhem and destructions.

The mode has managed to make GTA V one of the biggest sellers of 2015 on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

Rockstar is also planning to deliver updates for the included editor for the Online component of the open-world experience to make it easy for the community to create and share new missions.
